You will need to register for an account at the Quiz webpage.

For new users:
To register for the quiz, you have two options

1) At the top of the homepage, click 'Register' or;
2) Click 'Start Your Refresher Quiz Here!' via the bottom right side of the webpage

Then, key in your personal particulars. You will receive an SMS with a One-Time Password (OTP) for verification. The SMS Sender ID is reflected as ‘POLWEL’. You are also required to make a payment of $20 (before GST) via a third-party payment gateway. Once the payment is made successfully, you can proceed to take the quiz.

For registered users:
If you have previously registered an account with us, at the top right-hand corner of the page, click 'Login' and follow the instructions to enter your registered mobile number. An SMS OTP will be sent to you for verification. (e.g; Your POLWEL RQS OTP is 123456). Key in the OTP and click on 'Authenticate'

Upon successful login:

a) Go to the 'Profile’ page,

b) Click 'Edit Particulars'.

c) To change your PWM rank: Select the correct PWM Rank from the list of drop down options provided

d) To change your email address: Enter your new email address

e) To change your mobile number: Enter both the new and old numbers for verification

f) Click ‘Save’ to complete the change

Based on advice from the authorities, security officers are recommended to attempt the quiz after receiving the letter of renewal from PLRD.

The result of the refresher quiz is valid for 1 year from the passing date. For the purpose of Security Officer license renewal, you should only attempt the refresher quiz if your license expires in less than 1 year. It is highly recommended to attempt the quiz only after you have received the Letter of Renewal from PLRD.

We accept Credit/Debit Cards (VISA, Mastercard or Amex) and PayNow (Via your internet banking app).

If you have provided your email address during the registration of the quiz, the receipt will be sent to your registered email account (please check your ‘junk / spam’ folder).

Alternatively, you may access the receipt by logging into the account that was previously created. Click ‘Transaction History’, select ‘Download Transactions’.

No – we will waive the payment for officers to re-attempt the quiz within 1 year from the date where payment was last made. After that, the prevailing quiz fees will apply.

For example, if an officer has made a payment, took the quiz and failed on 1 October 2023, he / she can re-attempt the quiz at no cost by 30 September 2024.

The fee waiver will expire after the officer has passed the quiz at any point during the 1-year period.

No. The training package is made available by the authorities for officers to prepare for the quiz.

You will need to make a new payment if you wish to re-attempt after you have already passed the quiz.

You are only required to make one (1) payment to attempt the quiz until you achieve a 'Pass' within a 1 year period.

If you had passed the quiz and wish to retake the quiz again, you will be required to make a new payment.

There may be several causes. One of the common issues is an invalid email address provided. Please verify that the email address you entered during registration is correct. If corrections are needed, you can edit them in your profile page after logging in.

If the above does not resolve the issue, you may email us at rqs@polwel.org.sg and provide a screenshot of the error.

CVC/CVV stands for (Card Verification Code/Value) and it contains 3 digits which can be found at the back of your credit/debit card next to the white signature strip.

Once you've finished your quiz, scroll to the bottom of the page and input the email address(es) of the recipient(s) you want to send the quiz result to. Then, click on 'Send Result'.

If you're sending the result to multiple contacts, ensure you separate their email addresses with commas (e.g., personA@email.com, personB@email.com).

Yes, PLRD will receive your quiz results upon passing. Results are typically processed and sent to PLRD on a daily basis. Therefore, there's no need for you to send your results to PLRD after completing the quiz.

Your results will be sent to PLRD one day after you have passed your quiz. You may proceed to submit your Security Officer licence renewal application if you have yet to do so.

After you have passed the quiz, please follow the steps outlined in the licence renewal notice letter and/or in SPF website to apply for licence renewal.

At the top of the homepage, click the 'Resources' tab. You will be able to access the learning materials via Training Package, which are prepared by the authority for officers’ learning purposes.

The passing score is 70%. For example, you will need to answer at least 14 (out of 20) questions correctly to obtain a pass grade.

Each question will carry an equal weightage, and each correct answer will be awarded the full point. No point will be awarded for wrong answer given .

You will be given two (2) hours to complete the quiz. There is a timer located at the top of the screen to keep track of your remaining quiz duration.

If there is time remaining on your countdown timer, you may re-login again, click ‘Take Quiz’ and ‘Resume’ button to continue with your quiz.

You can access the Quiz Webpage via Mobile Phone, Tablet or Computer. The page works best with Google Chrome browser.

No, the list of questions are randomised . The purpose is for officers to show their understanding of key topics relating to their role as a security officer. You may to refer to the Training Package that can be downloaded from (https://rqs.polwel.org.sg/Resources) for your reference before attempting the quiz.
